Your Kundli is calculated from the exact date, time and place of birth. We convert your local birth time to universal time, compute the sidereal positions of the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu using the Lahiri ayanamsa, and find your Ascendant (Lagna) from your birthplace coordinates. The planets are then placed in the twelve houses of a North Indian style chart.
Below your chart you will find video lessons matched to the planets and houses in your Kundli, so you can learn what each placement means. You can also browse every lesson in .
A Kundli, also called a Janam Kundali or birth chart, is a map of the sky at the exact moment and place you were born. It shows the Ascendant (Lagna) and the position of the nine Vedic grahas - Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu - across the twelve houses.
Your full name, gender, date of birth, time of birth and place of birth. The birth time and place are essential because the Ascendant changes roughly every two hours and depends on your latitude and longitude.
The chart is drawn in the North Indian diamond style using the sidereal (Nirayana) zodiac with the Lahiri ayanamsa and whole-sign houses.
Choose "City not listed?" below the birth place field and enter the latitude, longitude and UTC offset of your birthplace manually.
Every Kundli page includes video lessons matched to the planets and houses in your own chart, and you can browse all lessons in the Learn Kundli section.
